BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has issued warning to file a criminal defamation case against Congress president Rahul Gandhi for making fake allegations against him and his family members and damaging their reputation in public.

Worthh mention here Congress chief had on Monday alleged that Chouhan and his son Kartikey were involved in a number of scams including Vyapam and Panama Papers.

With the strict warning, the MP CM took to Twitter and asserted that he is filing a criminal defamation, “Mr @RahulGandhi, you have been making patently false allegations of Vyapam to Panama Papers against me and my family. Tomorrow, I am filing a criminal defamation suit for maximum damages against you for frivolous and malafide statements. Let the law take its own course now,” CM Shivraj wrote on his official twitter handle.

MP CM also attacking Rahul Gandhi's grand old congress party in another tweet, saying, ''Congress has a habit of looking down upon the BJP workers. It called Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘Maut ka Saudagar’, ‘neech’ and ‘Bicchu’. The party called me ‘nalayak’, ‘madari’ etc. Staying away from making the government is getting tougher for him (Rahul) and it is affecting him mentally.”

MP CM tweet came hours after Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a public meeting in Jhabua,  alleged, “Name of the son of Mamaji (CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan) surfaced in the Panama Papers, but no action was taken. Even a country like Pakistan punished its former PM when he was named in the Panama Papers.”

"Udhar Chowkidar, Idhar Mamaji. Mamaji ke jo bete hai, Panama Papers me unka naam nikalta hai. (On one side, you have the watchman (apparently referring to Modi), on the other side you have 'mamaji'. The name of the son of 'mamaji' figured in Panama Papers)," Rahul asserted.

However in informal talks with media Rahul accepted his fault he said that in BJP there is so much Corruption and I got confused. MP CM not involved in Panama but he allegedly did Vyapam and e tendering scam.

Congress president is at present on a two-day tour of the BJP powered Malwa region in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh.
