In Bollywood, every actress chooses the script according to the length of her role, but according to tapsee, there is a different criterion for choosing films in the south film industry.
Taapsee says, “South criteria for choosing films is very different from that of Bollywood. In the South, you get typical ‘heroine’ roles. Also, all that matters is whether your film works or not, regardless of the length of your role.”
Tapsee says that this difference that makes it difficult for South actress to make it big in Bollywood. “I don't want to take names, but actresses who have come from South and starred in big blockbuster films here, haven’t been able to get a steady flow of projects. Starring in blockbusters hasn’t helped them make a big name for themselves here,” she added.
The actress will next be seen in Soorma, which is slated to release on July 13.
