Youth Olympic Games: 'I was happy with Babur as my shooting partner', says Saurbah on pairing with a Pakistani player

The rivalry of India and Pakistan is well known to whole world. Both the countries have been fighting with each other since the independence. Although there always remain a political tension between both the countries but in ongoing Youth Olympic Games (YOG) a Indian and a Pakistani shooter are paired together which is a positive sign for both the countries.

In the ongoing Youth Olympic Games  shooter Saurabh Chaudhary and Pakistani shooter Nubaira Babur for 10m air pistol mixed international team event to promote the olympics solidarity.

The pairing of the both the players has not been planned by the organizer but its was probably destined as according to concept of the tournament gold medal list of the men's individual event had to paired up with one who finished in the final 20th position in the women's and vice versa. Since Sourabh has topped the men’s 10m air pistol and Babur was on 20th position, therefore both were paired together.However the duo got eliminated in the round of 16 stage.On this pairing Indian shooter Saurabh said that I was happy with Babur as my shooting partner.

Not only this In women's 10m air pistol individual gold medallist, Manu Bhaker, and Tajikistan's Behzan Fayzullaev paired up for 10m air pistol international event and the duo grabbed a silver.
