Amritsar: PanJab Congress unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday made a big claim in Ludhiana saying he will remain loyal to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra till his death. At the same time, he has demanded 50 per cent reservation for women in the Punjab assembly elections.

Navjot Singh Sidhu said, "The work done in the last 3 months had not been done in the last 4.5 years. I will be loyal to Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi till I die. In UP, Priyanka Gandhi has announced 40 per cent reservation for women in the 2022 elections. I would say, in our Punjab model also, women should be given 50 per cent quota.' He said, 'We are giving a subsidy of Rs. 8000 crores to farmers. Tell me which other region is giving so much subsidy. Ask Arvind Kejriwal how much subsidy he is giving to farmers.'

Meanwhile, cm Charanjeet Singh Channi and Navjot Singh Sidhu were seen together during a meeting with workers in Ludhiana, keeping in front of the united face of the Congress party. Meanwhile, Sidhu said, 'The Industrial Revolution came to Russia and China, but the mafia rule has to be abolished for the development of Punjab.' He said that the punjab election will be fought on moral principles and honesty will prevail. Meanwhile, CM Charanjeet Channi said, 'Women do not need reservation. They need their fair share which will be provided by Congress in every possible way.'
