Zain Imam, who is currently seen playing the role of Agastya, an obsessive lover in Fanaa: Ishq Main Marjawaan, is glad that he gets to play antagonist roles. He says, “My role is similar to Shah Rukh Khan’s role in Darr. I enjoy playing such roles because positive roles don’t have much scope.”

Ask Zain if he would be as obsessive in real life and he says, “I would be a mix of both. I would be calm as well as a little obsessive about my girlfriend if I was in a relationship. I don’t think I can only be calm or only be the obsessive one.”

Zain has no plans to settle down any time soon. He says, “I don’t have plans to settle down as of now. I’m just focusing on work and my career and my professional life at the moment.”

The show, which revolves around Zain and Reem Shaikh, has been slow in connecting with masses. Zain says, “We are working hard and the show has a different story, but I agree, it is yet to warm up to the masses. It is slotted for 10:30 pm, but it does not start before 11 pm. In smaller towns, people tend to sleep early, so by the time the show airs at 11 pm, people have gone off to sleep. In bigger cities, too, people generally wrap up watching TV around 11 pm. So, hopefully, if the show starts at 10:30 pm, people will enjoy watching it.”

Recently, the actor met with an accident on the sets. The actor was rehearsing for a scene when the carpet slipped and he sprained his foot and suffered a tailbone injury. He says, “It has been more than a week now and I am recovering slowly. I was advised rest, but I completed my scenes that day and have been shooting since then.”
