Every researcher has been struggling for a long time to protect the country from the coronavirus. But the problem faced by the coronavirus is now becoming an opportunity. DM of Barabanki is Adarsh Singh. IAS officer Singh has revived the Kalyani river in Gram Panchayat Mawaiya, Development Block Fatehpur and has also provided employment to 800 people through it.

In his statement, Singh said that the Kalyani river has cleared in a radius of two and a half kilometres near Mawaiiya village of Fatehpur block. This work has been made possible through MNREGA. The Migrants got the benefit of cleaning the silt of the river. They got work from the MNREGA. 

The work of cleaning the river has been done under the scheme of MNREGA. After which once again the river has revived. An amount of Rs 59 lakhs has been received in the first phase to implement this scheme. This project was divided into two parts first 2.6 km stretch of Mawiya and second-half stretch of Hydergarh. Work of 2.6 km stretch has been completed. Adarsh Singh said "In the beginning, we found out from the revenue record when the river existed and matched it with the land. The river had become extinct and needed to be demarked. We have started this as a pilot project. In future, it will be improved and revived up to 171 km."
