Bhubaneswar: As incumbent Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy is going to superannuate from service on December 30 this year, incumbent Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mohapatra has been appointed as Tripathy’s successor by the Odisha Government.
Mohapatra will also hold the post of Chief Development Commissioner, the CMO said. Tripathy, a resident of Bolangir district in western Odisha, will be the new chairperson of the Western Odisha Development Council (WODC). He will be the first non-political person to hold the crucial post of WODC chairperson.
This apart, Tripathy will be the Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister on Regional Development, Tourism, Agribusiness and Industry, the CMO said. Similarly, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) and Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Kumar Jena has been posted as Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary of Odisha.
