Melbourne: Former Team India captain Virat Kohli's bat is spewing fire in the T20 World Cup 2022 these days. Meanwhile, Kohli has been rewarded for his performance. Kohli has been awarded the Player of the Month award by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for his ruckus in T20 cricket. Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza and South Africa's David Miller were also in the race for this award in the men's category. But, Virat has been selected for this award. Let me tell you that Kohli has received this award for the first time. He has received this honour due to his brilliant performance in the last month i.e. October.

It is noteworthy that 34-year-old Virat Kohli was struggling with poor form for the last three years. But, he has regained his old rhythm in three months. In this T20 World Cup, Kohli has scored 246 runs so far. During this time he has scored 3 half-centuries. Kohli has scored all his three half-centuries in this World Cup, against Pakistan (82 not out), Netherlands (62 not out) and Bangladesh (64 not out). The ICC announced the Player of the Month award for October in the men's and women's categories on Monday (November 7). In the men's, Kohli won the title, while Pakistan's Nida Dar has been given this award in the women's.

Let us know that Kohli made a lot of noise in 4 T20 matches in October. During this time he scored two fifties. It also included his career-best innings against Pakistan. Let me tell you that this is not the first ICC award of Virat Kohli. Even before this, he received many awards like ICC Cricketer of the Year, Cricketer of the Decade, ODI Cricketer of the Decade, ODI Player of the Year, and Test Player of the Year. Some of these awards have been won by Kohli many times.
