Dhaka: During the second T20 match on Saturday, Pakistan bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled Bangladesh batsman Afif Hussain (Afif Hossain). Following that, he was widely criticized on social media, but now the ICC has taken action against him. Shaheen Afridi was fined 15% of the match money by the ICC for his actions.

After swallowing a six, Shaheen Afridi struck the Bangladeshi batter in the third over of the innings in the second match of the three-match series against Bangladesh. He apologised to Afif Hussain after the match, but the apology was insufficient, and the ICC has now slapped a punishment on him.

The incident took place during the second Twenty20 match at Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla Stadium. In reality, Shaheen Afridi was delivering the third over of the innings at the time. Afif Hossain, who was in front, struck a six off Shahid Afridi. The Pakistani bowler was perplexed, so he snatched the following ball in the follow-through and threw it towards the stumps, where it hit Hossain and he fell into the crease.

After then, the doctor had to go down to the ground to see Afif. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) published a video after the match showing Shaheen approaching Hussain and apologising for his misconduct. He also embraced the Bangladeshi batsman with a grin and a hug.
