The fourth India-England Test match at The Oval erupted into a social media storm when Rohit Sharma smashed his maiden overseas Test century. One of the first to congratulate Rohit on his outstanding performance was the International Cricket Council (ICC). The India opener had been in good form for a while, but a century had eluded him. On Saturday, everything changed when Rohit Sharma scored his eighth Test century in India's second innings, sparking a dramatic comeback on Day 3.

Rory Burns may have dropped Rohit in the slips, but few would blame the 34-year-old for his 7th century in 43 Tests and first in 25 overseas. After reaching the slowest half-century of his Test career in 145 deliveries, Rohit brilliantly moved up through the gears and completed a 204-ball century in only 59 deliveries.

In the 64th over of the Indian innings, Rohit achieved his century with a six off Moeen Ali. On Day 3, he guided India to 191 for 1 at Tea, contributing significantly to India's current 100-run advantage.
