New Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday released the schedule for the next T20 World Cup 2021. India and Pakistan will face each other on October 24. Both the teams will take on Dubai. The first semi-final will be played in Abu Dhabi on November 10, while the second semi-final will be played in Dubai on November 11. Reserve Days have also been set for both the semi-finals. The final match of the T20 World Cup will be played in Dubai on Sunday (November 14). A reserve day has also been set for the final. The T20 World Cup, which is being held for the first time since 2016, will be held in Oman and UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah) from October 17 to November 14.

 

 

Team India will begin their campaign in the Super 12 round with a match against Pakistan. India will take on New Zealand in their second match in Dubai on October 31. The match between India and Afghanistan will be played in Abu Dhabi on November 3. Team India will play 4 matches in Dubai and one match in Abu Dhabi. India and Pakistan have been placed in Group 2 with World Test championship winners New Zealand and Afghanistan. In Group One, defending champions West Indies, England, Australia, and South Africa have been placed.

The eight-country qualifying tournament will be played from September 23, with teams from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Ireland. Out of this, four teams will qualify for the Super-12 stage. ICC has allowed countries participating in the T20 World Cup 2021 to bring 15 players and eight officials for the prestigious tournament to be held in UAE. ICC has given September 10 to send a list of its last 15 players and eight officers of coaches and associate members to the countries participating in the tournament.
