New Delhi: India has touched a new figure on Monday regarding Coronavirus testing. According to ICMR, so far more than one crore tests of coronavirus have been done in the country. India has become the fifth country in the world to do so. According to ICMR data, there are now about two and a half million tests done in the country. However, due to the holiday on Sunday, this figure was somewhat less, but according to the data at 11 am on Monday, 10 million coronavirus tests have been done in the country.

The first case of coronavirus was registered in India on January 30, after that till March only one lab in the country was in Pune. But today there are about 1100 such labs in the country, where the coronavirus sample can be given. Of these, around 300 labs are private, while the rest are government labs. Around 2.5 lakh tests are being conducted every day in the country, the next target of ICMR is to test three lakh coronavirus every day.

Experts believed that the speed of coronavirus can be slowed by doing as much testing as possible. In India, Tamil Nadu is at the top in the maximum testing, followed by states like Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra and UP are states where more than 30 thousand corona tests are being done every day.
