The Indian Council of Medical Research has stamped on hydroxy chloroquine being effective in preventing pandemic corona. After getting HCQ effective in preventing corona infection, ICMR has released new guidelines regarding its use even further. Citing the side-effects of this drug, it is advised to take it under the supervision of doctors.

Regarding this matter, the ICMR also made it clear that those taking HCQ should not misunderstand themselves to be safe from Corona and to avoid it all measures should be taken as before.
