New Delhi: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has cautioned that China's Cat Q virus (CQO) can spread many other fever-related diseases in India. Corona virus infection has spread from China and has killed nearly 8 million people all over the world.

In India too, more than 96,000 people have lost their lives due to corona. In a recent research published by ICMR, it claims that the virus, which spreads to humans from mosquito-borne blood-sucking organisms, can spread diseases such as meningitis in humans and meningitis in children. According to ICMR, mosquitoes found in India are fully capable of spreading this CQV virus. Pigs are the primary carriers of this virus in mammals.

Experts at the National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune , have found the virus infection in two in a sample study of 883 human serum. These samples were taken from different states of India.  The samples of people found infected were from Karnataka.
