Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Uma Bharti has issued a new statement regarding the Ram temple. Uma Bharti has been a prominent leader of the Ram temple movement. Regarding the Babri demolition, Uma Bharti has said that if that structure had not collapsed, the truth would not have come before the people. In a conversation with reporters, Uma said: "If the structure had not been removed, the team of archaeologists would not have been able to find important evidence." Apart from this, Uma Bharti said that "The credit for the decision of 9 November 2019 goes to the Supreme Court. But the evidence that actually formed the basis of the decision was the results of those who lost their lives in Ayodhya (on 6 December 1992)". The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) disputed Ayodhya about 15 years ago after the Allahabad High Court order the land was excavated. The Supreme Court in its judgment on 9 November 2019 stated that "the underlying structure below the disputed site in Ayodhya was not an Islamic structure, but the ASI has not established whether the temple was demolished to build the mosque."
