New Delhi: In view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the opposition has intensified its preparations. The opposition is trying not to return to power at any cost. For this, all the leaders of opposition parties are meeting each other, but how much impact will this meeting have? This will be known only in the coming time. A meeting of opposition parties has been held in Bihar next month. In which Congress is also going to join. This was confirmed by Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury in the Lok Sabha.

Nitish Kumar has extended an invitation to attend the meeting of opposition parties to be held in Patna, which the Congress has accepted. Ranjan further said that once the opposition comes together, Narendra Modi will get a chance to defeat him in the elections. We have been telling this to other opposition parties from day one, but some in the opposition agree with it and some do not agree. We are seeing some regional parties which have a problem in coming together with the Congress.

On behalf of the Congress, our leader Mallikarjun Kharge had given the responsibility to Nitish Kumar to call whomever he wants to call. Ranjan said modi will not be able to return to power if the opposition unites. He further said that Nitish Kumar has called, Congress will go. If he calls other regional parties, they will go. It depends on them, but the Congress has no problem. That is why when Nitish has invited everyone to meet together in Patna, the Congress has accepted the invitation. The opposition general meeting is scheduled to be held in Patna on June 12, in which apart from the Congress, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, former CM Uddhav Thackeray and many other veterans can attend.
