Port Louis: A mauritius cinema has received threats from Islamic State (ISIS) supporters ahead of the screening of The Kerala Story. The threat said that some bombs were being planted in the theater, which would explode on Friday (June 2) when the film will run. According to reports, the threat sent to the MCine Theatre in Mauritius said, 'Sir/Madam, MCine will be demolished tomorrow, because we have planted some bombs in your substandard cinema. You don't want to see movies. We'll show you great movies tomorrow. Remember our point. They are planting bombs.'

Let me tell you that on the one hand, 'The Kerala Story', revealing the nefarious conspiracies of ISIS, is being appreciated all over the world. At the same time, Islamic fundamentalists are angry on seeing this and calling it a lie and propaganda, in India these fundamentalists are also getting the support of some politicians. Meanwhile, there has been a threat to blow up the theater of Mauritius in a blast. The letter sent by the theatre owner to the makers mentions the ISIS threat. However, the makers have not yet officially said anything in this regard.

Cinema owners in Bengal also received threats:

Let me tell you, there is a lot of uproar in India about The Kerala Story. In Bengal, the film was banned from its release and theater owners were being threatened that if they put the film in theaters, the consequences would be bad. However, the Supreme Court gave the green to the screening of the film after taking cognizance of the matter. However, the situation in Bengal has not improved. The film's producer Vipul Shah had said, "It is absolutely shocking that after the verdict, a complete illegal ban has been imposed in theaters in Bengal. Theatre owners have been receiving threat calls from the police and administration that their theatre will not be safe if they open the booking station."
