Raipur: In Janjgir-Champa Chhattisgarh, due to a wedding program, the groom was beaten up a lot. Due to this sudden incident, there was a stir in the marriage program. Actually, the groom was marrying second in the temple, leaving his first wife in the maternal house. When the first wife came to know about this, she reached the spot along with the family members. Kicking and punching started. There, relatives including the wife beat up the groom who was getting married. As soon as the news was received, the police also reached out. The wife has lodged FIR against her husband and in-laws for dowry harassment.
According to the report, the entire incident took place at the big math temple at Shivrinarayan in Janjgir Champa district. Som Prakash Narayan Jaiswal, a resident of Balodabazar, was getting married here. Due to this, a woman came with some people and started creating a ruckus. As soon as she arrived, the woman grabbed the collar of Som Prakash, who became the groom. The dispute escalated and then the fight between the parties began. The police arrived on receiving the Tahrir. After this incident of assault, the police arrived and took both sides to the police station. The police questioned both sides.
The woman who assaulted the groom is Damini Jaiswal of the Birra area. She got married to Som Prakash on 7Th May 2017 with social customs. It is alleged that after a week, the in-laws started harassing Damini over Rs 2 lakh and a bike. A month later, he started beating her. Meanwhile, on July 15, 2017, Damini had her ITI exam. For this, Damini's father-in-law Lekhram Jaiswal came to leave her maternal uncle, but on the way, he also instructed that he would not come to his in-laws' house until Rs 2 lakh and a bike were arranged. Damini's examination is over. She waited to go to her in-laws' house, but no one came from there to pick her up. However, the message of bringing money and bikes kept coming. Damini and her family have filed a case of assault, and torture for dowry against Som and his family, which is being investigated.
