The initial symptoms of corona include losing the taste and smell of things. In Indore district 4 hospitals, 25 to 30 percent of the patients admitted, told the doctors that they do not feel the taste of food. Then when they investigated, it was found out that they were infected with corona. According to doctors, this virus has an effect on the gland beside the lungs. The coronavirus affects a person's ability to taste and smell. It is surprising to see such symptoms in the patients.

According to Dr Ravi Dosi of Aurobindo Hospital, studies are being done in the hospital on patients who have lost the sense of taste and smell. People recover after ten to fifteen days. In the early stages, this virus is affecting the glands along with the nerves. This reduces the power to taste and smell.

Apart from this, Dr Gaurav Gupta of Choithram Hospital said that 18 to 20 percent patients have complained of the same. During infection, the infant cell increases. Through blood cells, our body tries to stop this virus. This may be a reason for the lack of taste or smell.
