During the Corona period, there has been a significant decline in the sales of BS4 vehicles. Now this case is being heard in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court gave a big shock to the automobile dealers. Court said that after the lockdown is over, there will be no registration of the vehicles sold for 10 days. On June 15, the Supreme Court reprimanded the automobile associations including the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA), which said that the dealers have disregarded the court order for the sale and registration of BS4 vehicles. The Supreme Court has also clarified that it will only protect vehicles that have been registered through the VAHAN portal.
Apart from this, the Supreme Court has directed FADA to present the data of sales of BS4 vehicles and has directed the government to confirm the sales data with the information available on the VAHAN portal. The apex court said that more than 17,000 vehicles sold were not registered on the VAHAN portal.
For your information, let us tell you that the Supreme Court today found that the FADA had understood the number of BS4 vehicles sold after the March 31 deadline. The FADA was also warned against taking advantage of the court by "cheating games". The court said that it seemed that the FADA had sold more vehicles than the Supreme Court had allowed and questioned why and how.
