Chandigarh: Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has accused the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi of indulging in petty politics over the issue of water sharing. CM Khattar on Friday said that if Delhi wants more water, then punjab should first be asked to release haryana's share of water. Let us know that after the victory in the assembly elections in Punjab this year, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has been formed under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann.

A few days ago, the Delhi government had sent a SOS (emergency) call to Haryana requesting it to release excess water into the Yamuna river to tackle the water crisis in the capital. Khattar said that as per the direction of the Supreme Court, Haryana is fully complying with the water sharing agreement with Delhi and releases more than 1,049 cusecs of yamuna water to Delhi every day. "We cannot deprive Haryana of its share of water and give more water to Delhi than its legitimate share.

CM Khattar further said that instead of doing petty politics on the issue of water, the Delhi government should ask the Punjab government to release the water of the legitimate part of Haryana at the earliest. I promise that the day Punjab gives our share, we will increase delhi's existing water share on the same day.
