Ingredients for making ice cream from milk-

2 (400 to 450 ml) cans of condensed milk
1/2 cup or 60 g agave syrup, maple syrup, honey, turbinado sugar, or cane sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Optional extras: nuts (dry fruits), chocolate (or carob) chips, fruit puree, etc.

Method of making ice cream from milk- First of all, put coconut milk in a saucepan. Now before opening the can of coconut milk, shake it well and measure half a cup quantity and keep it aside for now. Pour the rest of the coconut milk into the saucepan. Now measure out agave, maple syrup, honey or sugar to your liking for your ice cream. Add it to the saucepan. Measure the salt and add that too. After this, stir the coconut milk on medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes.

Now add cornstarch and coconut milk. Next, add the cornstarch mixture to the hot, sweetened coconut milk and whisk gently to combine. Now increase the heat and stir once the mixture starts to cook and thicken. It will take up to 6-8 minutes. Let it come to a boil. When your base has thickened, turn off the burner and remove the saucepan from the heating element. Now add vanilla to the base and stir well to mix them. Let the base cool for a few minutes. After this put the base in the container and keep it in the fridge, now churn the cooled base for 10 to 20 minutes.

Now take out the ice cream from the bowl of the maker and put it in a freezer container with a lid. Cover it with a piece of wax or parchment paper, which will prevent ice crystals from forming. Freeze for about 4 hours until the mixture hardens and then serve.
