The 52nd International Film Festival of India programme has begun in Goa on Saturday, November 20. The biggest film show will continue till November 28, which will honour several legendary stars and screen several movies. The opening ceremony of the event was hosted by Karan Johar. Goa CM Pramod Sawant was also seen as the chief guest during the opening ceremony.
According to online media reports, chief minister Pramod Sawant revealed that Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan's movie 'Sholay' is his all-time favourite film. Not only that, but he also said that Kamal Haasan and Rati Agnihotri's movie 'Ek Duje Ke Liye' is the best movie ever shot in the state.
After Pramod Sawant's speech at the inauguration of the International Film Festival of India, the show's host and filmmaker Karan Johar played a rapid-fire round with him, which was greatly enjoyed by the audience. When asked about the association between Goa and the International Film Festival of India, CM Pramod Sawant said that film stars and everyone else are waiting for the festival to start in Goa.
