The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has completed the summer internship placements for the 2022 batch. The summer placements were completed days after IIM Lucknow and IIM Kozhikode managed to complete the placements for their institution students.

The placements were conducted for the students online for the first time because of the COVID-19 crisis with roughly 19 girls participating in the process. 43 of the firms were participating in the summer internship placement at IIM Calcutta for the first time. The placements were conducted for 473 management graduates.

40  percent of the placements were conducted for consulting, Finance and BFSI while 32 percent of students will be interning in General Management and Sales Marketing rules with the remaining 28 percent in product management, e-commerce, and other startups.

The placements were conducted in 3 sections on the basis of the Core Competencies of the firms. The first section consisted of Private Equity, Investments, Venture Capital Firms, Management Consulting, and offers international locations. 180 students were placed on 35 forms in the first section with Accenture being the top recruiter with 21 offers.
