Due to Corona epidemic, every region of the country has been affected. Meanwhile, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication has decided to cancel the entry exam to be organized to enter various postgraduate diploma courses. According to the information received, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication has decided to give the entry based on the marks of the candidates in the qualifying exam, adopting the merit-based admission process for entry into PG Diploma courses this year.

The decision of the same institution to give admission on the basis of merit instead of admission exam has been taken in view of the current situation of Corona epidemic across the country. According to a release issued by IIMC, it has been decided to adopt such admission process this year in place of the traditional entrance examination conducted every year. In which the candidates will be given more weightage of qualifying exam i.e. graduation and intermediate and matriculation examinations.

After that, online interviews will be conducted by the institute. In this way, admission in the Indian Institute of Mass Communication PG Diploma courses will be done on the basis of the marks of candidates up to graduation and online interview. The Indian Institute of Mass Communication will apply for the four most prestigious courses at the new Selection Process Institute. These courses include English Journalism, Hindi Journalism, Radio and Television Journalism, and Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations.
