IIT Indore providing resources and funding to students to promote startups

Indore: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore is providing all its resources and resources to strengthen startups across the country. At present, 15 startups from all over the country are working in the institute. Some of them are from the information technology sector, while many are producing different products. It is also providing funding to startups working on unique idea. Kumar Gaurav, administrative officer of the Institute's Centre of Innovation Incubation Entrepreneurship and Industry Relations (CIIER), says 12 startups from the institute have also received funding from MSME of Rs. 2.80 crore.

At the same time, technology and idea validation, product development, market connections, financial support and training from MSME also provide training to startup operators. All modern labs in engineering sector are available in Indore. There are many testing labs, especially related to computer science, electronics, mechanical and civil works. Many experienced professors at the institute are also assisting startups. The institute is also inviting 1500 of its former students spread all over the world to start up.

The institute is also encouraging students who do not want to take up jobs but want to work on business ideas that benefit the society. The institute has so far developed 25 new startups. Out of this, 12 startups have also been provided funding by MSME. The Institute has also tied up with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) for women entrepreneurship. Under this, the Institute will provide all facilities for converting women's ideas into products.
