Kanpur: Praising students' contributions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Kanpur is providing precious gifts to the world of technology.
The Prime Minister, speaking at IIT Kanpur's 54th convocation event, remarked, "For Kanpur, today is a day of double joy. On the one hand, Kanpur will get a metro rail system, and on the other, IIT Kanpur will bestow priceless gifts on the world of technology." He also praised those who were awarded degrees at the convocation.
"Congratulations to the students who received the award today. Many people, including your parents, family members, and instructors, have contributed to where you are today and the qualifications you have earned "PM Modi stated. When students first arrived at IIT Kanpur, the Prime Minister noted, "there was a fear of the unknown," but now they have the "belief to explore the entire world."
"You must have been afraid of the unknown when you applied to IIT Kanpur. IIT Kanpur has lifted you out of that situation and given you a huge blank canvas to work with. Today, you have the desire to travel the globe and seek out the best "PM Modi stated. The Prime Minister also announced the establishment of digital degrees based on blockchain technology.
