Jaipur: In Rajasthan, the business of selling illegal diesel has increased rapidly for the last six months. The loss of which petrol pump owners, the state government, and the oil companies are suffering. Now the state government has become strict against those selling illegal diesel and other types of oil in the state without a license in the name of biodiesel.

The government, after meeting with the three oil companies Indian Oil, HPCL, and BPCL officials have sought a list of mobile dispenser units of diesel being supplied door-to-door in the state. In the future, after issuing licenses of oil dispensers of mobile companies, their capacity will be verified by the legal metrology department of the state. Oil companies will have to submit information about the mobile dispenser unit to the food department, police, and home department of the state.

Last year, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas introduced the facility of door-to-door diesel delivery through oil companies to meet the demand for diesel in the industrial and mining sectors, but the central government did not share the information with the state government. As a result, there was a tussle between state agencies for legitimate and illegal diesel sales. Actually, under the guise of biodiesel, cheaper diesel and other types of fuel are being sold from other states, which is getting cheaper by 15 to 20 rupees from the market.
