Dhanbad: An illegal mine has collapsed in Jharkhand today i.e. on Friday (June 9). According to the report, 3 laborers working there have lost their lives due to the collapse of the mine. At the same time, many more workers are still feared trapped in the debris of the mine. Dhanbad SSP Sanjeev Kumar said that the portion of the mine is owned by Bharat Cooking Coal Limited (BCCL).

He has told that the body of a person killed in this accident has been recovered. "We are waiting for BCCL's report on the injured. At the same time, SSP Dhanbad says that strict action will be taken against whoever is responsible for this case. It is being told that this incident of mine collapse took place at 10:30 am today." 

The spot is located around 21 km from Dhanbad town. Media reports quoted eyewitnesses as saying that since the mine was built here, many local people had started mining illegally. Another eyewitness told the media that three people were pulled out of the debris with the help of locals. When they were taken to the hospital, the doctors declared them dead.
