After winning hearts and awards for Anand L.Rai’s Zero, Katrina Kaif has a couple of films in her kitty – from Ali Abbas Zafar’ Bharat to Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. As we speak, Katrina Kaif is neck-deep in the promotions of Bharat, for every day, the actress is papped for promotions with co-star Salman Khan and post Bharat, Katrina Kaif will get busy with the shooting of Sooryavanshi.
While it is the first time that Katrina will be working with ace filmmaker Rohit Shetty but what is even more interesting is that Katrina Kaif will be reuniting on screen with Akshay Kumar after what looks like a decade.
Back in the day, Katrina Kaif has shared screen space with Akshay Kumar in films like Anees Bazmee's Singh Is Kinng, Vipul Amrutlal Shah's Namastey London and Anees Bazmee's Welcome and post a cameo in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan, which released in 2010, Kat and Akki haven’t been seen together.
And therefore, just like all their million fans, even Katrina is super thrilled to be working with Mr.Khiladi again and in an interview; Katrina expressed a sense of excitement and of collaborating with Akshay. “I'm really excited. We have already shot a few days for Sooryavanshi. I really thought, 'What's it going to be like? There's going to be this uncomfortable...finding this comfort on set...because we are working together after nine years.” Katrina informed media.

In the film, Akshay Kumar will be seen as Veer Sooryavanshi, chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad, and it was hinted that Ajay Devgn's Bajirao Singham and Ranveer Singh's Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba would also be a part of the upcoming film. Sooryavanshi is slated to hit the theatres on Eid 2020.
