New Delhi: Protest continues between guru Baba Ramdev and the Indian Medical Association (IMA). IMA, Uttarakhand has protested against Patanjali's proposal to include Coronil Tablet in covid-19 kit in the state. IMA hit back against the proposal saying that Coronil is not approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) nor is it included in the Central Guidelines. It is not a drug or medicine, as Baba Ramdev has claimed.

IMA, Uttarakhand said mixing coronil with allopathic medicines will also be a cocktail of mixopathy (Ayurveda and Allopathy). It is not allowed as per the Supreme court's decisions and it would be contemptuous to use. On the other hand, IMA Secretary Dr. Ajay Khanna has also objected to it by sending a letter to the Chief Secretary of the state. He said that if a patient is being treated through allopathy, how can he be given Ayurveda medicine?

IMA said mixopathy cannot be used on any patient. The Supreme court has a clear ruling on this. At the same time, he said that if coronil is used, he will file a contempt case in supreme court.
