New Delhi: A cyclonic circulation over the South Andaman Sea is likely to create a low-pressure area in the South Andaman Sea and surrounding areas. It is said to be sharp by turning into a depression and moving west northwestwards towards the Tamil Nadu coast. A warning of heavy rain has been issued in coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh for the next two days due to its impact. Let me tell you all that the Meteorological Department says that a trough line extends from the cyclonic winds over south-east Bengal to the South-West Bay of Bengal, off the Tamil Nadu coast.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall may occur in parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh and different parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Let me also tell you that schools and colleges will remain closed on 10th and 11th November due to incessant rains in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. In a statement issued last Tuesday, Puducherry Education Minister A Namassivam said, "All schools and colleges in the Union Territory and Karaikal will remain closed on November 10 and 11.''

At the same time, the Government of Tamil Nadu has declared 10th and 11th November holidays in nine districts- Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Mayiladuthurai in view of a weather forecast. It is reported that heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur on the southern coast of coastal Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh from today i.e. Light to moderate rain is possible in south interior Karnataka. With this, light rain may occur in Lakshadweep, parts of Telangana and different parts of south Odisha. On the other hand, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in Kerala, south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu for the next 5 days.
