Delhi Weather: Delhiites to get relief from heat today, clouds to rain in UP-Bihar

New Delhi: People of Delhi-NCR waiting for monsoon rains may get relief soon. In Delhi, relief is likely to be provided even today amid the ongoing heatwave in NCR.  According to the MET department, Delhi will be inundated with thundershowers on Friday. In Bihar, rain season is also in place and rain is likely. In Uttar Pradesh, rain is also expected in several parts of the state including Ramupar today. According to the MET department, the monsoon is going to hit Delhi soon.

The MET department has predicted rain in Delhi-NCR today. According to the MET department, light to moderate rain may occur in the areas around NCR (Manesar, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida) Khatoli, Modinagar, Hapur (UP), Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) during the next 2 hours this morning. It is being reported that clouds will also thunder during this period and the wind speed will be 20-40 kph. The temperature will drop in the Delhi-NCR areas.

Many parts of Delhi received rain on Thursday night which brought relief from the heat. According to the MET department, Delhi recorded a temperature of 41.8 degrees Celsius, five degrees above normal. Delhi continued to heat up for the fourth day this month on Thursday. IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall as well as 20-40 kph wind speed in the evening at South Delhi, Gohana, and Rohtak in Haryana, Rampur, Chandausi, Sahaswan in Uttar Pradesh, and Nagar in Rajasthan.
