New Delhi: There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people about Janmashtami across the country today. Preparations have been made to celebrate in the temples. But the weather may disturb the celebration of this Janmashtami. In fact, the Met department has predicted rain on the occasion of Janmashtami. According to the department, heavy rain may occur in several states from north India to south India including Delhi-NCR.

The Met department has predicted bad weather conditions in the country's capital Delhi earlier in the week. The department has also issued yellow alerts for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in Delhi. Light clouds are currently visible in Delhi and rain is expected by evening. According to the weather reports, heavy rain is expected in parts of southern states (Kerala, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh) during the next 24 hours.

Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, and Telangana are likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall at isolated places. Light rain may occur at some places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan. According to the department, heavy rain is likely in hilly areas. Uttarakhand has already suffered a lot this season.
