New Delhi: Due to continuous rains in many states of the country including Maharashtra, the situation is getting worse. According to the latest information given by the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra in the next three days. At the same time, the Meteorological Department in Kerala has expressed the possibility of rain for the next five days. 

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy at various places in Chandrapur and Gadchiroli in Maharashtra. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert regarding rain in these areas for Monday and Tuesday. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange warning for parts of Akola, Buldhana and Washim. Heavy to very heavy rain is expected here on Tuesday and Wednesday. At the same time, heavy rains continued in Karnataka's coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi on Sunday. Due to this, the low-lying areas of these districts were flooded and water-logging occurred in many places. In Karnataka too, normal life has been disrupted due to incessant rains. In view of the inclement weather in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, a holiday has been declared for all schools and Anganwadis in both the districts today (Monday).

Along with this, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in the next five days in the Dang, Navsari and Valsad districts of South Gujarat. According to the Meteorological Department, many other districts of South and Central Gujarat and the Saurashtra region are also expected to receive heavy to very heavy rains during this period. Cauvery and Ambika rivers are flowing above the danger mark in Navsari district. In these areas, NDRF teams are continuously working to move people to safer places.
