New Delhi: The cold wave conditions in north India are beginning to rise. The national capital Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 9.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. On the other hand, air quality was recorded in the 'poor' category. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Safdarjung observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 9.4 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal, on Tuesday. The humidity level in the air was 90 per cent.

The meteorologist has predicted light rain or drizzle along with generally cloudy weather during the day. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 20 degree Celsius. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), air quality was recorded in the 'poor' category on Tuesday. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 258 in the morning. Delhi was recorded in the 'bad' category on Monday due to rain after six consecutive days of air quality remaining in the 'critical' category.

State that AQI between 0 and 50 are placed in 'good', 'satisfactory' between 51 and 100, 'medium' between 101 and 200, 'bad' between 201 and 300, 'very bad' between 301 and 400 and 'serious' between 401 and 500 AQI.
