New Delhi: Monsoon is leaving in India. However, heavy rains are occurring in many parts on the way. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued an alert saying that heavy rains are expected in Odisha in the next few days due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over the east-central Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department has said that due to cyclonic winds, a low-pressure area is expected to form over the Bay of Bengal around Tuesday.
Meanwhile, various districts of UP have received heavy rains for several days. In Deoria, a three-year-old boy lost his life after the wall of a kutcha house collapsed following rains. Deoria district has been receiving torrential rains for several days. Due to this, there has been waterlogging in many places. Roads have been flooded and water has entered people's homes in many areas.
With this, the IMD has predicted heavy rains in some areas of Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kendrapara and Kandhamal districts of Odisha on Sunday. A yellow alert for heavy rainfall has been issued in coastal and southern parts of the state on Monday by the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar. Torrential rains have also been forecast in many districts on Tuesday and Wednesday. Fishermen have also been instructed not to venture into deep sea areas.
