The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in Andhra Pradesh today on Saturday. In the weather bulletin, the IMD issued a yellow alert to the state of Odisha and predicted rain in some other southern states. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in Andhra Pradesh due to the formation of a low pressure area over the east central and southeast Arabian Sea near Lakshadweep.
"Fishermen in Andhra Pradesh have been advised not to venture into the sea due to forecast of heavy rains in the north coast," the IMD said. On the other hand, Telangana State Planning Development Society (TSDPS) also said that Telangana will receive rain and thundershower activities in the next few days.
Meanwhile, Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) has predicted heavy to very heavy rain in some parts of Telangana in the next 72 hours, while light to moderate rain is likely in many districts of the state. TSDPS has predicted light to moderate rain and heavy rain at isolated places over Telangana and its capital Hyderabad on Saturday.
