New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rains in Rajasthan for the next 5 days. Imd has predicted heavy rain with thunder. Along with this, a yellow alert has been issued while issuing an alert. There is a warning of heavy rains with thundershowers in the Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur and Ajmer divisions. 

Banswara, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Udaipur and Sirohi districts also received heavy rainfall, according to the Meteorological Department. Danpur in Bangaswara recorded the highest rainfall of 201 mm in the last 24 hours. According to a Jaipur meteorological centre spokesperson, from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Chittorgarh recorded 37 mm rainfall, Chhabra in Baran 24 mm, Udaipur 16 mm, Kota 6.5 mm, Dungarpur 5.5 mm and Banswara 3.5 mm. He said that light to moderate rains are expected at most places in east Rajasthan. 

Heavy rains may occur in many parts of the next few days. Light to moderate rains is also expected at a few places over west Rajasthan on August 12, 13 and 15. He said that a new low-pressure area is forming in the Bay of Bengal from August 13, due to which there is a strong possibility of increasing rainfall in the state from August 15.
