To get deputations in the state of Haryana Lokayukta office of India, impeccable image is necessary. Even if the tainters get deputation, their applications will not be accepted. Now the Lokayukta office has again issued an old letter, directing all the heads of departments to apply to the interested employees.

The terms of appointment on deputation are that the five-year ACR of the worker should be clean, no charge sheet against him nor any investigation pending. Assistants and clerks with knowledge of computers will get priority. The Lokayukta office has sent a copy of the letter to the Chief Secretary's Office, Finance-Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department and all the District and Sessions Judges for necessary action and for sending appropriate names. At the same time, the government has not yet given powers to the Lokayukta to take automatic cognizance and take direct action in cases of corruption. Lokayukta can recommend action after investigation in case of complaint. Departments do not send action-taking reports on their recommendations in time. A letter has been written several times by the Lokayukta to confer powers. They have been mentioning this in their annual report as well.
