Following the ongoing protests in the country, a Norwegian woman has alleged that immigration authorities have asked her to leave India. The woman says that she participated in the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Kochi. After which this decree has been given to her. The woman's allegation comes at a time when a German student was ordered to leave India a few days ago for participating in a CAA-related demonstration, although the Foreign Regional Registration Office has given clarification in this matter. In which he says that our investigation found that the woman had violated visa rules, so she has been asked to return.

According to media reports, the student of Germany was named Jacob Lindethal who hails from Dresden. He enrolled in the MS program in August this year under the Xenz program. He told that the immigration authorities scold him for taking part in the protest against the citizenship law and asked him to leave the country. He told that the staff of his department informed him that he had been summoned by immigration officials.

In his statement, Jacob said, "I went there (immigration office) and the initial conversation was very friendly. So I told them everything. After this, he started telling me bitterly why I took part in the protest against the citizenship law. Then I realized that the matter has become serious." A few days ago, while demonstrations were being held against the CAA across the country, Jacob participated in a demonstration on 16 December, after which he was immediately asked to leave the country.
