WASHINGTON: After the abrogation of article 370, Pakistan is seeking help from other countries on the issue.  China raises the issue of removal of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir at the UNSC meeting on Pakistan's behalf. But Pakistan and China did not get the support of any other country in the world at the meeting held here on Friday. Other countries, including Russia, supported India.

Pakistan, on the other hand, has received a setback from the US side. Pakistani PM Imran Khan calls US President Donald Trump ahead of UN Security Council meeting. His aim was to seek support from Trump. But Donald Trump asked him to resolve his issues through bilateral talks.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley said, President Donald Trump has made it important that India and Pakistan resolve their issues through bilateral talks. On the other hand, Indian Ambassador to the United Nations Syed Akbaruddin took the stand after the meeting and explained to China and Pakistan in clear terms. Akbaruddin said, "This is an internal matter of India as a whole. This is a decision taken under the constitutional arrangements of India. No other country has anything to do with it."
