Lucknow: Senior Western UP leader Masood Akhtar, who left the Congress and joined the Samajwadi Party (SP) just before the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, is once again caught in the political fray. In fact, he has not been given a ticket from the Samajwadi Party (SP) so far. It is now being reported that Masood may go to Congress again. Sources said Masood is likely to contest from Saharanpur village.

With former Congress leader Imran Masood not getting a ticket, speculations have intensified. According to sources, he may quit the Samajwadi Party and join the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). According to reports, SP president Akhilesh Yadav wants Imran Masood to remain in the party. It is reported that he may be given a big post when the SP government is formed in future, but Imran Masood is currently looking at all the possibilities.

Former Congress leader Imran Masood and his supporter MLA Masood Akhtar had met SP national president Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow on January 12 and announced his joining the party.
