Lucknow: A video of former Congress MLA and national secretary Imran Masood is going viral on social media. In the viral video, Masood says, 'If all Muslims become one, everyone should hold my feet. Because of you people, I have to touch the feet of others. You guys have made me dog.'

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath's media advisor Shalabh Mani Tripathi posted the video on his Twitter handle. He shared the video and wrote, 'All Muslims should unite, everyone will hold feet. Another dream of Imran Masood who had the resolve to kill Modiji.' In fact, Imran Masood, who recently quit the Congress and joined the Samajwadi Party (SP), has accused Akhilesh Yadav of insulting him. He said Akhilesh invited him to visit Lucknow twice but did not meet him. He also called for the third time but declared his candidate from Saharanpur before that. He said that we had taken the opinion from the supporters and suppressed the SP.

Imran Masood, with a controversial image, is considered close to former Congress president Rahul Gandhi. Masood had recently said that if BJP is to be defeated in UP, has to come with Samajwadi Party. In Uttar Pradesh, only the SP can challenge the BJP. After resigning from the Congress, Masood had said that the political situation has become such that it has to be decided. Not only that, Imran Masood is the same leader who was a Congress candidate from Saharanpur in 2014 when he announced at a public rally that he would "tear Narendra Modi to pieces."
