Pakistan govt is fully sheltering those who are promoting anti-India terrorism: Digvijay Singh

Indore: Congress leader Digvijay Singh made a statement last Saturday. In it, he said, "Resumption of talks between India and Pakistan is possible only if the Imran Khan-led government takes strict action against the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack and other attacks on Indian soil.'' At the same time, he added, "All of them are in the way of resumption of talks between India and Pakistan who provided them shelter and finance to terrorist bombers in Mumbai and elsewhere in India.''

Let me tell you that Imran Khan has blamed the RSS for the postponed talks between the two countries. Naming Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar, one of the top 31 terrorists wanted by India, Digvijay Singh said, "The Government of Pakistan is fully harboring those who are promoting anti-India terrorism. The Rajya Sabha MP asked how talks could begin between the two neighbors if the Imran Khan government continues to shelter these people and does not take firm action against them?''

The Congress leader also said, "The colonial-era sedition law under which Mahatma Gandhi was arrested is no longer needed.'' At the same time, he alleged that the government was misusing the sedition law to suppress the voices of opponents. All political parties should think about the constitutional validity of the sedition law. Further, questioning the Population Control Bill to be brought by the Uttar Pradesh government, Singh said, "The proposed law is only aimed at removing people's attention from basic issues like inflation and unemployment. If the Government provides good health care and education to the people, the population growth will automatically come down.''
