Imtiaz Ali movies have some captivating power to take the audience in a different word.  Like when I heard the song “ Ye Ishq hay bathe bithyae Jannat dikhaye” from the movie Jab we Met take me to in valleys of Manali.  In the same way in the Tamasha, we found a delightful, dreamy Ranbir in an equally dreamy Corsica while falling into business-like mannerisms in Delhi, a place that is all (and largely) work and long waits at traffic lights.

 Let me inform you that Laila Majnu, Imtiaz Ali's new movie is hitting the theaters on May 04, 2018, and I cannot stay calm. The promotional poster on Imtiaz's Instagram account is intense - his signature style, and another journey - again his signature style. A traveler's director, as I call him, Imtiaz Ali does not tell a mere story, he takes us on journeys where his story weds places, places that are far and wide, places from across India and around the world.

One look at the poster of Laila Majnu and you know that we are up for a ride again; while the movie poster reminds me of Highway and his epic trail across Kinnaur and Spiti, the shooting locations for Imtiaz Ali's new movie is speculated to be far and wide, and largely in India. The upcoming movie's poster has the look of those classic Himalayan trails again, probably somewhere in Kinnaur. While I can only speculate and chuckle in delight about the old-school love story coming back to the screens, Imtiaz fans can hope for another travelogue.

Hailing it as a "classic love story with a spin", Ekta Kapoor who's producing the movie has commented that the movie is in production and they are looking for a quick wrap and set the stage for its May release.
