Mumbai: The Congress has suffered a major setback in the Maharashtra corporation elections. In Maharashtra, 28 councillors from Malegaon town in Nashik district have joined hands with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Mayor Taira Sheikh Rashid and her husband Sheikh Rashid are the main faces who have left the Congress and joined the NCP.

For your information, let us know that Mayor Taira Sheikh Rashid's husband Sheikh Rashid has been an MLA twice. In the presence of NCP state president Jayant Patil, Nashik Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, Mayor Taira Sheikh Rashid and her husband Sheikh Rashid, 28 councillors joined the NCP today.

On the other hand, aslam shaikh, a minister in the Maharashtra government, had announced that a sports complex in Malad would be named after Tipu Sultan. Now with the same decision, the BJP is on fire and protests are being held against the state government. On Wednesday too, Bajrang Dal activists openly opposed the decision.
