Hyderabad, Government is all set to take a new move in which new-born babies will be provided Aadhaar card, birth certificate and birth defect registration card at the hospital level.

The programme named as Telangana Sishu Aadhar Project, will be handled by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in collaboration with the state government's IT department.

In 19 hospirtals, this project will be initially launched.

The aim of the project is to provide all the necessary certificates to a new-born child immediately after the birth and also push them to the digital locker.

This initiative where the government issues certificates to citizens the moment the baby is born is a paradigm shift from the traditional concept where government asks citizens to apply for certificates.
