The passing of Narendranath Razdan, the father of Soni Razdan and the grandfather of Alia Bhatt, shocked the whole Bhatt family on Thursday. Actress Soni Razdan wrote a lengthy message to honor her late father Narendra Nath Razdan. Soni posted a video on Instagram on Saturday showing her father's relationships with his loved ones over the years. Fans were also given many previously unseen glances from a select events in the video.

In the video, Ranbir Kapoor could be seen seated at a table with Shaheen Bhatt, Alia Bhatt's sister, and her granddad, actor Alia Bhatt. Narendra Nath's birthday cake was decorated and left out on the table. Standing behind Narendra Nath, Ranbir Kapoor regarded the cake.

In another scene, Ranbir grinned for the camera while relaxing on a couch with a glass of wine. Mahesh Bhatt, his father-in-law, occupied one side of the table while Narendra Nath occupied the other. Several previously unreleased images of Narendra Nath from his youth up until a few years ago were also included in the video.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt wrote the following in a letter after Narendranath Razdan passed away: “My grandpa. My hero Played golf till 93, Worked till 93, Made the best omelette, Told the best stories, Played the violin, Played with his great granddaughter, Loved his cricket, Loved his sketching, Loved his family & till the very last moment.. loved his life! My heart is full of sorrow but also full of joy .. because all my grandpa did is give us joy & for that feel blessed and grateful to have been brought up by all the light he had to give! Until we meet again."

Sharing the video, Soni wrote, "My daddy my hero. One of a kind. Original rockstar. Amazing architect. Of us and of buildings and of jokes and of just about everything….Daddy was the most joyful fun loving creative and life affirming man I’ve ever met. Our childhood was spent in a veritable alternate universe with daddy whenever he was around. We would either be regaled with stories he made up while relating them to us … about the good girl Neelam and her naughty little brother Gagan, or the imaginary Chunu, whom adults couldn’t see but we could - or he would play his violin for us - or imitate Groucho Marx … oh the list was endless."
