Advisory Committee suggests stringent sanctions: According to reports, Karnataka's Technical Advisory Committee on Corona has asked the state government to impose stringent sanctions to break the transition chain, including a 2-week lockdown. The panel members have also asked the state government to increase the figure of hospital beds to deal with the crisis. It is also being said that according to Girdhar Babu of the Public Health Foundation of India, "There are two main strategies. Secondly, we should increase bed capacity by taking as many beds as possible from all private medical colleges, nursing homes, and hospitals".
Notice sent to private hospitals for not keeping bed reserves for covid patients: Gaurav Gupta, Chief of The Large Bengaluru Municipal Corporation (BBMP), said that his employees are engaged in overtime work in the covid war room. BBMP has sent notices to private hospitals which do not reserve 50 percent bed corona patients.
Demand for medical oxygen on the rise: In a video conference, state CM B. S. Yediyurappa has urged the Centre to supply 1,471 tonnes of oxygen and 2 lakh doses of remdesivir. The rising demand in the state has started reducing oxygen. The state has also imposed night and weekend curfew to deal with covid and an order has also been issued to shut down unnecessary shops and business.
